Start-up Loan “StartGeld”

The KfW Start-Up Loan “StartGeld”

What is the “StartGeld” program?

A start-up loan, the “StartGeld” program aims to help founders of new businesses make the dream of owning their own company a reality. The program looks enticing:

  • You need no capital of your own to apply
  • Low interest rates thanks to state support
  • No securities required
  • No proof of salary
  • No risk for your bank thanks to state contribution
  • 100,000 euros and you’re off to the races with your start-up loan

But it’s not as simple as that

To qualify for a start-up loan, you need a bank-worthy business plan and must meet all conditions from the get-go (SCHUFA, self-disclosure, etc.). Without professional help, most founders will surely flounder! In addition to labyrinthine application process, your success also depends on the future market segment, your own experience and your ability to demonstrate both. You see, there is always a bank between you and this start-up loan – the state only bears 80% of the credit risk. When all is said and done, your application will be as closely considered as any other normal business finance plan.

Free help for applying

Why not use the many state-subsidized start-up programs that are designed to whip you into shape for the future of your business besides also helping you complete a business concept and procure financing. Start-ups can have up to 100% of costs covered!

In addition to offering the KfW StartGeld start-up loan, the state is also willing to help you find the right time to launch and build a successful company. In the Free State of Saxony, the Development Bank SAB covers 100% of costs for business consulting through state subsidies. Find out more here. Don’t miss out on these valuable opportunities!
